| إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا {١} |
1. When the earth is shaken with its appointed tremor. |
| وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا {٢} |
2. And the earth throws out its burdens. |
| وَقَالَ الْإِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَا {٣} |
3. And man says, “What has happened to it?” |
| يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا {٤} |
4. On that day earth will narrate its news, |
| بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا {٥} |
5. Because your Lord sent a command to it. |
| يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ {٦} |
6. On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. |
| فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ {٧} |
7. So whoever does a good deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. |
| وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ {٨} |
8. And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. |
