 |
| إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ {١} |
1. And what will make thee comprehend what the Night of Majesty is? |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ {٢} |
2. The Night of Majesty is better than a thousand months. |
| لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ {٣} |
3. The angels and the Spirit descend in it by the permission of their Lord -- for every affair -- |
| تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ أَمْرٍ {٤} |
4. Peace! it is till the rising of the morning. |
| سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ {٥} |
5. Those who disbelieve from among the People of the Book and the idolaters could not have been freed till clear evidence came to them -- |
