| أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ {١} |
1. Have We not expanded for you your breast, |
| وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ {٢} |
2. And eased you of the burden, |
| الَّذِي أَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ {٣} |
3. Which weighed so heavily on your back; |
| وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ {٤} |
4. And (have We not) exalted for you your renown? |
| فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا {٥} |
5. Then, surely, with hardship comes ease; |
| إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا {٦} |
6. Surely, with hardship comes ease. |
| فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْ {٧} |
7. Therefore, when you are free (from one task), resume (another task); |
| وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ {٨} |
8. And seek and strive to please your Lord. |
