 |
| هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ {١} |
1. Faces on that day will be downcast, |
| وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ {٢} |
2. Labouring, toiling, |
| عَامِلَةٌ نَاصِبَةٌ {٣} |
3. Entering burning Fire, |
| تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً {٤} |
4. Made to drink from a boiling spring. |
| تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ آنِيَةٍ {٥} |
5. They will have no food but of thorns, |
| لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيعٍ {٦} |
6. Neither nourishing nor satisfying hunger. |
| لَا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنْ جُوعٍ {٧} |
7. Faces on that day will be happy, |
| وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ {٨} |
8. Glad for their striving, |
| لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ {٩} |
9. In a lofty Garden, |
| فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ {١٠} |
10. Wherein thou wilt hear no vain talk. |
| لَا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَاغِيَةً {١١} |
11. Therein is a fountain flowing. |
| فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ {١٢} |
12. Therein are thrones raised high, |
| فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ {١٣} |
13. And drinking-cups ready placed, |
| وَأَكْوَابٌ مَوْضُوعَةٌ {١٤} |
14. And cushions set in tows, |
| وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ {١٥} |
15. And carpets spread out. |
| وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ {١٦} |
16. See they not the clouds, how they are created? |
| أَفَلَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ {١٧} |
17. And the heaven, how it is raised high? |
| وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ {١٨} |
18. And the mountains, how they are fixed? |
| وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ {١٩} |
19. And the earth, how it is spread out? |
| وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ {٢٠} |
20. So remind. Thou art only one to remind. |
| فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ {٢١} |
21. Thou art not warder over them -- |
| لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُصَيْطِرٍ {٢٢} |
22. But whoever turns back and disbelieves, |
| إِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ {٢٣} |
23. Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. |
| فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَكْبَرَ {٢٤} |
24. Surely to Us is their return, |
| إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ {٢٥} |
25. Then it is for Us to call them to account. |
| ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ {٢٦} |
26. By the daybreak! |
