 |
| هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ {١} |
1. Hath there come Unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? |
| وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ {٢} |
2. Faces on that Day shall be downcast, |
| عَامِلَةٌ نَاصِبَةٌ {٣} |
3. Travailing, worn. |
| تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً {٤} |
4. They shall roast into the scalding Fire, |
| تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ آنِيَةٍ {٥} |
5. Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. |
| لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيعٍ {٦} |
6. No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, |
| لَا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنْ جُوعٍ {٧} |
7. Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. |
| وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ {٨} |
8. Faces on that Day shall be de lighted, |
| لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ {٩} |
9. With their endeavour well pleased. |
| فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ {١٠} |
10. They shall be in a Garden lofty: |
| لَا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَاغِيَةً {١١} |
11. They shall hear therein no vain discourse; |
| فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ {١٢} |
12. Therein shall be a spring running! |
| فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ {١٣} |
13. Therein shall be couches elevated! |
| وَأَكْوَابٌ مَوْضُوعَةٌ {١٤} |
14. And goblets ready placed! |
| وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ {١٥} |
15. And cushions ranged! |
| وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ {١٦} |
16. And carpets ready spread, |
| أَفَلَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ {١٧} |
17. Look they not at the camels, how they are created? |
| وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ {١٨} |
18. And at the heaven, how it is raised? |
| وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ {١٩} |
19. And at the mountains, how they are rooted? |
| وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ {٢٠} |
20. And at the earth, how it is outspread? |
| فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ {٢١} |
21. Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. |
| لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُصَيْطِرٍ {٢٢} |
22. Thou art not over them a warden. |
| إِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ {٢٣} |
23. But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve - |
| فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَكْبَرَ {٢٤} |
24. Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. |
| إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ {٢٥} |
25. Verily Unto us is their reckoning. |
| ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ {٢٦} |
26. Then verily on us is their reckoning. |
