 |
| سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى {١} |
1. Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. |
| الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ {٢} |
2. The One Who created, and then made proper. |
| وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ {٣} |
3. And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. |
| وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ {٤} |
4. The One Who produced pasture. |
| فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ {٥} |
5. Then made it dry and dark. |
| سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ {٦} |
6. We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. |
| إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ {٧} |
7. Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. |
| وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ {٨} |
8. And We shall create the means of ease for you. |
| فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ {٩} |
9. Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. |
| سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ {١٠} |
10. Soon whoever fears will heed advice. |
| وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى {١١} |
11. And the most wicked will stay away from it. |
| الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ {١٢} |
12. The one who will enter the biggest fire. |
| ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ {١٣} |
13. Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. |
| قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ {١٤} |
14. Indeed successful is the one who became pure. |
| وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ {١٥} |
15. And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. |
| بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا {١٦} |
16. But rather you prefer the life of this world! |
| وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ {١٧} |
17. Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. |
| إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ {١٨} |
18. Indeed this is in the former scriptures. |
| صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ {١٩} |
19. In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. |
