 |
| سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى {١} |
1. Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, |
| الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ {٢} |
2. Who hath created and then proportioned, |
| وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ {٣} |
3. And Who hath disposed and then guided, |
| وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ {٤} |
4. And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, |
| فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ {٥} |
5. Then maketh it to stubble dusky. |
| سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ {٦} |
6. We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, |
| إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ {٧} |
7. Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. |
| وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ {٨} |
8. And We shall make easy Unto thee the easy way. |
| فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ {٩} |
9. Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, |
| سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ {١٠} |
10. Admonished is he indeed who feareth, |
| وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى {١١} |
11. And the wretched shunneth it-. |
| الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ {١٢} |
12. He Who shall roast into the Great Fire, |
| ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ {١٣} |
13. Wherein he shall neither die nor live, |
| قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ {١٤} |
14. He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, |
| وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ {١٥} |
15. And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. |
| بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا {١٦} |
16. But ye prefer the life of this world, |
| وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ {١٧} |
17. Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. |
| إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ {١٨} |
18. Verily this is in Writs ancient |
| صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ {١٩} |
19. Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. |
