 |
| إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ {١} |
1. When the heaven shall be cleft, |
| وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ {٢} |
2. And when the stars shall be scattered, |
| وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ {٣} |
3. And when the seas are flowed out, |
| وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ {٤} |
4. And when the graves are ransacked, |
| عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ {٥} |
5. Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. |
| يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ {٦} |
6. O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, |
| الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ {٧} |
7. Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? |
| فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَ {٨} |
8. In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. |
| كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ {٩} |
9. By no means! Aye, ye belie the the Requital. |
| وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ {١٠} |
10. Verify there are for you guardians, |
| كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ {١١} |
11. Honourablel scribes. |
| يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ {١٢} |
12. They know whatsoever ye do. |
| إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ {١٣} |
13. Verily the pious shall be in Delight. |
| وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ {١٤} |
14. And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. |
| يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّينِ {١٥} |
15. Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. |
| وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ {١٦} |
16. And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ {١٧} |
17. And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? |
| ثُمَّ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ {١٨} |
18. Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? |
| يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا ۖ وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ {١٩} |
19. It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah´s. |
