 |
| وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا {١} |
1. By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another |
| فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا {٢} |
2. By the raging hurricanes, |
| وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا {٣} |
3. By those which cause earth´s vegetation to revive; |
| فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا {٤} |
4. By those who winnow with a winnowing, |
| فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا {٥} |
5. By those who bring down the Reminder, |
| عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا {٦} |
6. To excuse or to warn, |
| إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ {٧} |
7. Surely that which ye are promised will befall. |
| فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ {٨} |
8. So when the stars are put out, |
| وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ {٩} |
9. And when the sky is riven asunder, |
| وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ {١٠} |
10. And when the mountains are blown away, |
| وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ {١١} |
11. And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - |
| لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ {١٢} |
12. For what day is the time appointed? |
| لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ {١٣} |
13. For the Day of Decision. |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ {١٤} |
14. And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {١٥} |
15. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ {١٦} |
16. Destroyed We not the former folk, |
| ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ {١٧} |
17. Then caused the latter folk to follow after? |
| كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ {١٨} |
18. Thus deal We ever with the guilty. |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {١٩} |
19. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| أَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُمْ مِنْ مَاءٍ مَهِينٍ {٢٠} |
20. Did We not create you from a base fluid |
| فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَكِينٍ {٢١} |
21. Which We laid up in a safe abode |
| إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَعْلُومٍ {٢٢} |
22. For a known term? |
| فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ {٢٣} |
23. Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٢٤} |
24. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا {٢٥} |
25. Have We not made the earth a receptacle |
| أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا {٢٦} |
26. Both for the living and the dead, |
| وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْ مَاءً فُرَاتًا {٢٧} |
27. And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٢٨} |
28. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| انْطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ {٢٩} |
29. (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; |
| انْطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ {٣٠} |
30. Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, |
| لَا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ {٣١} |
31. (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. |
| إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ {٣٢} |
32. Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, |
| كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ {٣٣} |
33. (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٣٤} |
34. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُونَ {٣٥} |
35. This is a day wherein they speak not, |
| وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ {٣٦} |
36. Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٣٧} |
37. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ {٣٨} |
38. This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. |
| فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ {٣٩} |
39. If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٤٠} |
40. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ {٤١} |
41. Lo! those who kept their duty are amid shade and fountains, |
| وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ {٤٢} |
42. And fruits such as they desire. |
| كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ {٤٣} |
43. (Unto them it is said:) Eat, drink and welcome, O ye blessed, in return for what ye did. |
| إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ {٤٤} |
44. Thus do We reward the good. |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٤٥} |
45. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُمْ مُجْرِمُونَ {٤٦} |
46. Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty. |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٤٧} |
47. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ {٤٨} |
48. When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down! |
| وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ {٤٩} |
49. Woe unto the repudiators on that day! |
| فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ {٥٠} |
50. In what statement, after this, will they believe? |
