 |
| إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ أَنْ أَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ {١} |
1. Verily We! We sent Nuh Unto his people saying: warn thy people ere there come Unto them torment afflictive. |
| قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ {٢} |
2. He said: O my people! verily I am Unto you a warner manifest. |
| أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ {٣} |
3. Worship Allah, and fear Him, and obey me. |
| يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَاءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ ۖ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ {٤} |
4. He will forgive you your sins, and will defer you to an appointed term. Verily the term of Allah when it cometh shall not be deferred, if ye but knew. |
| قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِي لَيْلًا وَنَهَارًا {٥} |
5. He said: my Lord! verily have called my people night and day. |
| فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلَّا فِرَارًا {٦} |
6. And my calling hath only increased them in fleeing. |
| وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًا {٧} |
7. And verily so oft as I call them, that Thou mayest forgive them, they place their fingers into their ears, and wrap themselves with their garments, and persist, and are stiff-necked. |
| ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًا {٨} |
8. Then verily have called Unto them publicly: |
| ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَنْتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًا {٩} |
9. Then verily spake Unto them openly, and secretly also I addressed them. |
| فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا {١٠} |
10. And I said: ask forgiveness of your Lord; verily He is ever Most Forgiving. |
| يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارًا {١١} |
11. He will send the heaven upon you copiously; |
| وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ أَنْهَارًا {١٢} |
12. And He will add Unto you riches and children and will appoint Unto you gardens and will appoint Unto you rivers. |
| مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًا {١٣} |
13. What aileth you that ye expect not in Allah majesty! |
| وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا {١٤} |
14. And surely He hath created you by stages. |
| أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا {١٥} |
15. Behold ye not in what wise Allah hath created seven heavens in storeys. |
| وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا {١٦} |
16. And hath placed the moon therein for a light, and hath made the sun a lamp? |
| وَاللَّهُ أَنْبَتَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا {١٧} |
17. And Allah hath caused you to grow from the earth as a growth. |
| ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجًا {١٨} |
18. And thereafter He will cause you to return thereinto, and He will bring you forth a forthbringing. |
| وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا {١٩} |
19. And Allah hath made the earth Unto you an expanse. |
| لِتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا {٢٠} |
20. That of it ye may traverse the ways open. |
| قَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَاتَّبَعُوا مَنْ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلَّا خَسَارًا {٢١} |
21. Nuh said. my Lord! verily they have disobeyed me and followed them whose riches and children have only increased them in loss. |
| وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا كُبَّارًا {٢٢} |
22. And who have plotted a tremendous plot |
| وَقَالُوا لَا تَذَرُنَّ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلَا سُوَاعًا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًا {٢٣} |
23. And who have said: ye shall not leave your gods; nor Shall ye leave Wadd nor Suwa´, nor Yaghuth, nor Ya´uq nor Nasr. |
| وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا كَثِيرًا ۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَالًا {٢٤} |
24. And surely they have misled many. And increase Thou these wrong-doers in naught save error. |
| مِمَّا خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا فَأُدْخِلُوا نَارًا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنْصَارًا {٢٥} |
25. And because of their misdeeds they were drowned, and then they were made to enter a Fire. Then they found not for themselves, beside Allah, any helpers. |
| وَقَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ دَيَّارًا {٢٦} |
26. And Nuh said: my Lord! leave not upon the earth of the infidels one inhabitant. |
| إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوا إِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا {٢٧} |
27. Verily if Thou shouldst leave them, they Will mislead Thine bondmen and will beget not save sinning infidels, |
| رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًا {٢٨} |
28. My Lord! forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house as a believer, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin! |
