| الرَّحْمَٰنُ {١} |
1. Allah, the Most Gracious |
| عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ {٢} |
2. Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him). |
| خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ {٣} |
3. Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. |
| عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ {٤} |
4. Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. |
| الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ {٥} |
5. The sun and the moon are scheduled. |
| وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ {٦} |
6. And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). |
| وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ {٧} |
7. And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. |
| أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ {٨} |
8. In order that you may not corrupt the balance. |
| وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ {٩} |
9. And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. |
| وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ {١٠} |
10. And He appointed the earth for the creatures. |
| فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ {١١} |
11. In which are fruits, and covered dates. |
| وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ {١٢} |
12. And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {١٣} |
13. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ {١٤} |
14. He created man from clay like that of earthenware. |
| وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍ {١٥} |
15. And created jinn from the flame of fire. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {١٦} |
16. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ {١٧} |
17. Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {١٨} |
18. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ {١٩} |
19. He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. |
| بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَا يَبْغِيَانِ {٢٠} |
20. Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٢١} |
21. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ {٢٢} |
22. Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٢٣} |
23. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ {٢٤} |
24. To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٢٥} |
25. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ {٢٦} |
26. For everything on the earth is extinction. |
| وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ {٢٧} |
27. And eternal is the Entity of your Lord, the Most Majestic and the Most Honourable. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٢٨} |
28. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| يَسْأَلُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ {٢٩} |
29. All those who are in the heavens and the earth seek only from Him; every day is an enterprise for Him. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٠} |
30. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ {٣١} |
31. Disposing all works quickly We tend towards your account, O you two large groups! |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٢} |
32. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ {٣٣} |
33. O the groups of jinns and men, if you can cross the boundaries of the heavens and the earth, then cross them; wherever you may go, His is the kingdom! |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٤} |
34. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِنْ نَارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرَانِ {٣٥} |
35. Flames of smokeless fire and black smoke without flames, will be let loose on you, so you will not be able to retaliate. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٦} |
36. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| فَإِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ {٣٧} |
37. And when the heaven will split, it will appear like a rose painted red. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٨} |
38. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ إِنْسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ {٣٩} |
39. On that day no sinner will be questioned about his sins, from men or from jinns. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٠} |
40. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ {٤١} |
41. The criminals will be recognised from their faces, so will be caught by their forelocks and feet, and thrown into hell. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٢} |
42. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ {٤٣} |
43. This is hell, which the criminals deny. |
| يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ {٤٤} |
44. They shall keep going back and forth between it and the extremely hot boiling water. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٥} |
45. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ {٤٦} |
46. And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٧} |
47. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ {٤٨} |
48. Having numerous branches. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٩} |
49. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ {٥٠} |
50. In the two Gardens flow two springs. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥١} |
51. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| فِيهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ {٥٢} |
52. In which are fruits of all kinds, each of two varieties. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥٣} |
53. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ {٥٤} |
54. Reclining upon thrones that are lined with brocade, with the fruit of both Gardens close enough to be picked from under. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥٥} |
55. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ {٥٦} |
56. Upon thrones are the women who do not gaze at men except their husbands, and before them, are untouched by any man or jinn. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥٧} |
57. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ {٥٨} |
58. They are like rubies and coral-stone. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥٩} |
59. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ {٦٠} |
60. What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦١} |
61. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| وَمِنْ دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ {٦٢} |
62. And besides them, there are two more Gardens. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦٣} |
63. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| مُدْهَامَّتَانِ {٦٤} |
64. Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦٥} |
65. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ {٦٦} |
66. In the Gardens are two springs, overflowing with abundance. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦٧} |
67. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ {٦٨} |
68. In them are fruits (of all kinds), and dates and pomegranate. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦٩} |
69. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ {٧٠} |
70. In them are women of good behaviour and gorgeous faces. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٧١} |
71. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| حُورٌ مَقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ {٧٢} |
72. They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٧٣} |
73. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ {٧٤} |
74. Untouched by any man or jinn, before them. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٧٥} |
75. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ {٧٦} |
76. Reclining on green cushions and beautiful decorated carpets. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٧٧} |
77. So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
| تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ {٧٨} |
78. Most Auspicious is the name of your Lord, the Most Majestic and the Most Honourable. |
