| الرَّحْمَٰنُ {١} |
1. The Compassionate. |
| عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ {٢} |
2. Hath taught the Qur´an. |
| خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ {٣} |
3. He created man. |
| عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ {٤} |
4. He taught distinctness. |
| الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ {٥} |
5. The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. |
| وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ {٦} |
6. And the herbs and the trees do obe isance." |
| وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ {٧} |
7. And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. |
| أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ {٨} |
8. That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. |
| وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ {٩} |
9. And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. |
| وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ {١٠} |
10. And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. |
| فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ {١١} |
11. Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. |
| وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ {١٢} |
12. And grain chaffed and other food. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {١٣} |
13. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? |
| خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ {١٤} |
14. He created man of clay like, Unto pottery. |
| وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍ {١٥} |
15. And He created the Jinn of a flame of fire. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {١٦} |
16. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie |
| رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ {١٧} |
17. He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {١٨} |
18. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ {١٩} |
19. He hath let loose the two seas. |
| بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَا يَبْغِيَانِ {٢٠} |
20. In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٢١} |
21. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ {٢٢} |
22. There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٢٣} |
23. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ {٢٤} |
24. His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٢٥} |
25. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ {٢٦} |
26. Everyone that is thereon will Pass away. |
| وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ {٢٧} |
27. And there will remain the countenance of thine Lord, Owner of Majesty and Beneficence. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٢٨} |
28. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? |
| يَسْأَلُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ {٢٩} |
29. Of Him beggeth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth; every day He is in a new affair. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٠} |
30. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ {٣١} |
31. Anon We shall direct Our selves to you, O ye two classes. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٢} |
32. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ {٣٣} |
33. O assembly of Jinn and man! if ye be able to pass out of the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass out; ye can not pass out except with authority. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٤} |
34. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِنْ نَارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرَانِ {٣٥} |
35. There shall be sent against you both flame of fire and smoke, and ye shall not be able to defend yourselves. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٦} |
36. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| فَإِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ {٣٧} |
37. And when the heaven will be rent in sunder and will become rosy like Unto red hide. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٣٨} |
38. Whfch, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie! |
| فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ إِنْسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ {٣٩} |
39. Of his sin will be questioned that Day neither man nor jinn. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٠} |
40. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ {٤١} |
41. The culprits will be recognised by their marks, and will be lain hold of by the forelocks and the feet. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٢} |
42. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ {٤٣} |
43. Yonder is the Hell which the culprits belied. |
| يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ {٤٤} |
44. Going round between it and balling water fierce. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٥} |
45. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ {٤٦} |
46. And for him who dreadeth the standing before his Lord will be two Gardens. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٧} |
47. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ {٤٨} |
48. With spreading branches. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٤٩} |
49. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ {٥٠} |
50. In which, will be two fountains running. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥١} |
51. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| فِيهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ {٥٢} |
52. In which will be of every fruit two kinds. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥٣} |
53. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ {٥٤} |
54. Reclining on carpets whereof the linings will be of brocade; and the fruit of the two Gardens shall be near at hand. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥٥} |
55. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ {٥٦} |
56. Therein shall be those of refraining looks whom before them hath deflowered neither man nor jinn. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥٧} |
57. Which, then, of the benefits of Your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ {٥٨} |
58. As though they are jacinth and coral. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٥٩} |
59. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ {٦٠} |
60. Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦١} |
61. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| وَمِنْ دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ {٦٢} |
62. And beside the two there will be two other Gardens. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦٣} |
63. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain beli? |
| مُدْهَامَّتَانِ {٦٤} |
64. Dark-green. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦٥} |
65. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ {٦٦} |
66. In which will be two fountains gushing forth. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦٧} |
67. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ {٦٨} |
68. In which will be fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٦٩} |
69. Which, then, of the benefits of Your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ {٧٠} |
70. Therein will be damsels agreeable and beauteous. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٧١} |
71. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| حُورٌ مَقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ {٧٢} |
72. Fair ones, confined in tents. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٧٣} |
73. Which, then, of the benefits of Your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ {٧٤} |
74. There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٧٥} |
75. Which, then, of the benefits of Your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ {٧٦} |
76. Reclining upon cushions green and carpets beauteous. |
| فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ {٧٧} |
77. Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? |
| تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ {٧٨} |
78. Blest be the name of thine Lord, Owner Of Majesty and Beneficence! |
