| قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ {١} |
1. Say, `I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, |
| مَلِكِ النَّاسِ {٢} |
2. `The Sovereign, the Controller of all affairs of mankind, |
| إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ {٣} |
3. `The God of mankind, |
| مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ {٤} |
4. `(That He may protect me) from the evil (of the whisperings) of the whisperer, the sneaking one. |
| الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ {٥} |
5. `Who whispers evil suggestions into the hearts of mankind, |
| مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ {٦} |
6. `From among the jinn (- fiery natured, houghty) and the (ordinary) people.´ |
