1. The (unprecedented) crash! |
| مَا الْقَارِعَةُ {٢} |
2. What is the crash? |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ {٣} |
3. Would that you knew what the crash is! |
| يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ {٤} |
4. On that day, people will be like scattered moths |
| وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِ {٥} |
5. and mountains will be like carded wool. |
| فَأَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ {٦} |
6. Those whose good deeds will weigh heavier (on the scale) |
| فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍ {٧} |
7. will live a pleasant life, |
| وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ {٨} |
8. but those whose good deeds will be lighter (on the scale). |
| فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ {٩} |
9. will have hawiyah as their dwelling. |
| وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ {١٠} |
10. Would that you knew what hawiya his? |
| نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ {١١} |
11. It is a burning Fire. |
